One of the AWC’s fundamental endeavors is to help others in need. Each year, we donate time and money to support many charitable organizations in the Madrid area. Some examples are:
- ACOGEM, which helps immigrants and marginalized people by providing non-perishable food, psychologists, training in domestic work, job search assistance, and legal support.
- CENTRO SANTA MARIA DE LA PAZ, a residence serving homeless men who are 45 to 65 years of age.
- COMEDOR SOCIAL SAN SIMON DE ROJAS, a soup kitchen providing 300 breakfasts and take-away food on a daily basis to needy people in Móstoles.
- PADRE ROBERTO, who helps the children of the Parroquia S. Francisco de Asís with school supplies, holiday food baskets, and summer camp scholarships. Padre Damián Coll originally organized all of the above and passed away in 2020.
